Gabe McNunn is the vice president of environmental modeling & data science for Sustainable Environmental Consultants (SEC). In his role, Gabe focuses on developing modeling tools and integrating them into the EcoPractices® platform. In collaboration with the SEC team, he also fields client questions and provides insight and recommendations related to environmental analysis methods.
Prior to joining the SEC team in 2018, Gabe worked as an environmental modeling and data engineer at AgSolver/EFC Systems, Inc., which delivers innovative software solutions throughout the agribusiness supply chain. Within his role there, he served as an environmental project manager and collaborated with both university and industry customers to develop unique modeling approaches to target subfield areas with high environmental and economic risk.
While pursuing his master’s, he was a graduate research assistant in the Simulation, Modeling, and Decision Science program for the U.S. Department of Energy Ames Laboratory in Ames, Iowa.
Gabe received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University. He received his doctorate in environmental science from Iowa State University in 2018.
In his spare time, Gabe enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with his family and dog.
