Gabe is the data science engineer for Sustainable Environmental Consultants (SEC). In his role, he is responsible for the development and integration of modeling tools within the EcoPractices® platform, an innovative sustainability verification and validation platform. He collaborates with SEC staff and customers to answer questions and provide recommendations related to environmental analysis methods.
Gabe previously served as the environmental modeling and data engineer at AgSolver/EFC Systems, Inc., which delivers innovative software solutions throughout the agribusiness supply chain. He was an environmental project manager and collaborated with university and industry customers to develop unique modeling approaches to target subfield areas with high environmental and economic risk.
Prior to that, he was a graduate research assistant in the Simulation, Modeling, and Decision Science program for the U.S. Department of Energy Ames Laboratory in Ames, Iowa.
Gabe received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University. He will achieve his doctorate in environmental science from Iowa State University this fall.
In his spare time, Gabe enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with his wife and dog.
