“Increasing environmental sustainability and conserving natural resources in agriculture are passions of mine. I am excited to bring my knowledge of crop production systems and conservation practices to the Sustainable Environmental Consultants team and our clients.”

Agriculture data specialist Jim Cecconi joined the Sustainable Environmental Consultants (SEC) team in June 2022. In this role, Jim works with the EcoPractices® team on agricultural sustainability projects. Through data collection, reporting and precision agriculture expertise, Jim supports producers in their journey to more sustainable practices.

Jim graduated from the University of Kentucky where he majored in plant and soil science. While in college, he worked at the university’s Turfgrass Research Center as a research assistant where he performed data collection and experimental setup as well as maintenance of research plots.

Following graduation, Jim moved to Minnesota to work for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) as an agronomist.
