Sustainable Agriculture Communications Lead
“I‘m passionate about telling the stories of farmers and their hard work especially as it relates to sustainability practices. Often the agriculture industry and environmental sector are at odds, but I believe by bridging the communication gap between farmers, food companies, and their sustainability efforts, we can create positive change for both the ag industry and our planet.”
Kristine Rebiero joined the Sustainable Environmental Consultants (SEC) team in November 2021 as the sustainable agriculture communications lead. In this role, Kristine drives SEC’s communication and public relations efforts. She works closely with the EcoPractices® team to transmit scientific information into creative content, including educational materials and environmental data outcome stories.
Growing up in California’s Central Valley, a top agricultural region, and also a farmer’s daughter, Kristine became passionate about the industry and telling the story of agriculture. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business and a minor in mass communication and journalism from California State University, Fresno. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in environmental science and policy from Johns Hopkins University.
