“I think there is a real opportunity for clients to improve not only the environment but their bottom line through their conservation efforts.”
As a project coordinator, Tim works directly with clients, providing conservation opportunities and options available through USDA and state programs. He believes in helping clients move toward a more sustainable agricultural system. Prior to joining the SEC team in 2019, Tim worked with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for thirty-three years. During his time there, Tim worked with producers to evaluate their resource concerns and provide solution options through the conservation planning and application process.
“I think there is a real opportunity for clients to improve not only the environment but their bottom line through their conservation efforts,” said Tim. “I hope that I am having a positive impact on the protection of our natural resources for future generations.”
One of the key challenges clients face is pressure from peers against change. To alleviate this challenge, Tim connects with clients who have successfully implemented new practices and shares lessons learned with new clients to help in their decision making.
Tim graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in natural resource management with an emphasis in soil and water conservation. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. An avid lover of the great outdoors, Tim enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, camping, gardening and beekeeping.
